Soft Commodities COT Charts: February 21st data showed Speculators boosted bets of Cocoa & Lean Hogs

Here are the latest charts, statistics and reports for the Commitment of Traders report data published by Commodities Futures Trading Commission.

The latest COT data can be accessed through Tuesday, February 21st It gives an overview of how large traders (for profits speculators, and commercial entities), were placed in futures markets.

*** The data is still a few days behind the current data due to a delay in the CFTC-up-to-date data. This was due to a cybersecurity incident that occurred in February to ION Cleared Derivatives, a subsidiary of ION Markets. This hack has caused a problem in large trader positions and must be reported. The CFTC has restored some data from the past weeks and will bring it up to date over the next few weeks.

Weekly Speculator Changes led by Cocoa & Lean Hogs

The COT soft commodities market speculator bets were higher than usual that week, as seven of the eleven softs markets that we cover had higher positioning, while the other four had lower speculator contract.
