According to the US-based crypto exchange, it has sufficient funds to allow clients to withdraw their assets within that time. Clients will be able to convert their crypto funds into Japanese yen or transfer them to a third party wallet.
Kraken launched its first services in Japan in 2014. They pulled out of the market in 2018. As part of a larger strategy to expand its services in APAC markets, the exchange returned to Japan in 2020 via Payward Asia (a Tokyo-based subsidiary).
