According to Italian regulators, three of the firms are illegal financial intermediary sites and one website is used for the offer of financial products in the absence a prospectus.
Consob can block websites providing illegal financial services by internet service providers.
The regulator has stated:
Internet service providers in Italy are currently blocking these websites. It can take a few days for the blackout to be implemented due to technical reasons.
