Steve Smart joins the FCA after he was a National Crime Agency (NCA) Intelligence Director. He was responsible for leading a team of more than 2000 people. He has also worked in the private sector where he managed the establishment of an integrated intelligence and investigation unit within a large banking conglomerate.
Smart added:
I’m really excited to be joining the FCA. It is an amazing opportunity to share my knowledge of developing and leading proactive operational functions as well as working with international partners, police and law enforcement to ensure that the FCA continues to protect serious harm; promote competition; and set higher standards.
